The school just confirmed that the proposed uniform changes are officially being scrapped. I am honestly stunned by how quickly this turned around and I know this result belongs entirely to all of you who spoke up. Let us keep paying close attention to these things in the future.

I have been reading through the comments you are leaving and the personal stories about how these uniform costs affect your families are truly heartbreaking. I am currently working on a letter to the school board to ensure they understand that this policy change causes real pressure for many of us.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many of you felt strongly enough to step up and join this. This momentum belongs entirely to the community that cares so deeply about our children.

I started this because I was frustrated by the update but I never imagined one hundred people would join me. This growth belongs entirely to you and your willingness to speak up for our kids.

What is the point of having a logo on the trousers that cannot be seen when wearing the school blazer. If the school allowed the pupils to 5ake their blazers off when it is hot then it ma6 be a different matter but hey have to keep them on all year.

Not happy about these changes at all. They force non essential changes to the uniform that force parents to become financially embarrassed. They do not take into account the different shapes of children and remove choice from parents. The uniforms are not value for money!

I fail to see any benefit in this change. Enforcing the perfectly acceptable standards / dress code that was already in place is all that is required. This change is significantly, and very swiftly, undermining the goodwill that has been built up over many years between pupils, parents and staff.

i object to the change in uniform as the current uniform was commended by ofsted. the new uniform is significantly more expensive thank that available from budget stores. those items supplied by budget stored complied with the previous policy.

Totally useless exercise, the current uniform is smart, good quality and lasts. If you’re going to change it, at least have a longer phased in period to allow those who’ve only just purchased new items to get some wear out of them!

Unnecessary, lack of proper consultation, encourages throwaway culture as no longer able to hand uniform on. Expensive - no consideration for financial implication. Where there is an issue with a minority of students not complying at present - this should be addressed not a whole school change.
