Even while the PadmaShri award was being presented to Ms Barkha Dutt of NDTV, there was a generally prevalent feeling that this is due to some sort of lobbying/paying back. Now, with Barkhagate, we all know why Ms Barkha Dutt got the Padma Shri award. Given the degeneration of this award, can we petition the conscience keepers of our nation that this award should now be withdrawn from her?
