The administration confirmed that the split-lunch policy is off the table for the upcoming school year. We will monitor the student handbook during the next few weeks to ensure the single lunch period remain formally codified.

Final supporters
This petition is for all students and faculty at Pacific High School who wish to not have two lunches. We feel as if two lunches will be problematic and dysfunctional. There will be more students who will ditch their classes to hang out with their friends at a different lunch. Most students will be confused on what lunch to go to. After 1st lunch, faculty would have a time limit to pick up trash for the second lunch. Which could result in second lunch, having to eat in a filthy environment. Most clubs and extracurricular activities have their meetings at lunch because most students cannot stay after school. Having two lunches interferes with these meetings. In the end, we Pacific High School feel that having one lunch is easier and less problematic.

We are approaching one hundred signatures which will serve as our baseline when we formally request a meeting with the school administration. Please direct this petition to any remaining students or faculty who have not yet signed so we can secure that target before the next staff planning meeting.

I really liked the one lunch because we bonded with more people and if you have two lunches asb will work for two periods staff will too and you will have students change their schedules or even ditch to go to either lunch.
I graduated 2016 but I find this VERY ridiculous. We have had everything that makes pacific DIFFERENT taken away such as Bailey Bowl. 1 lunch only makes sense. 2 lunches will create more confusion and more class ditching.
Having 2 lunches is extremely inefficient and confusing. What a bad decision. There were no issues with the way things were before. 2 lunches disrupts clubs that meet during lunch, makes it hard to talk to teachers during free time.
Everyone going to ditch to different lunches to be with there friends. It's my last year in high school and I would love to spend my last year with all my friends.
I follow how I can hang out with my friends at lunch now and with my softball girls! I don't have no friends I know during second lunch now and I think it should go back to the way it was when it was just all one big lunch!

Its not really fair to us students who finally get a break and just want to chill with the people we know. We are working hard every single day for what we want in life. Idk about these other kids but i wanna go to college so i work hard it would be nice to see my friends when i have a break from working my brain all day

I think we should get 1 lunch back because if you think about it alot more students will be ditching &I its just going to be a mess , and disorganized
