There are four very precious birds in the care of Chris and Lorry Burgr. Three of these birds have been in the process of rehabilitation to ready them for adoption into their forever homes. These birds were taken to their home as MARS is incapable of providing rehabilitation service or providing an environment that is conducive to their particular needs. Upon their forced return to the rescue they will be thrown back into an environment that is uncomfortable and will in no way improve their situation. The rehabilitation progress will at best be stopped and at worst be erased. Additionally, two of the four birds are small birds and incapable of defending themselves in the poorly supervised environment in which large birds are mixed with small birds. Small birds have not fared well there in the past. Due to the conditions they are subject to injury, predation and loss.
