Stop denying Americans... I went through red bank and all those Mexicans that came
Over all had busses for thier children. I'm sure their school
Is right around the corner.
We pay enough in taxes.
Please take care of our children!

My two older children attended Middletown Village Elementary and we did not have busing as we were too close to the school. The township thought they should walk nearly a mile along Kings Highway where there aren't even sidewalks on the side where we lived. For 8 years I drove them everyday. For the amount of money in taxes that we pay it's just not acceptable!

If you really do care for our students well being and safety, you'll provide bussing for ALL students. Having students walk dangerous roads, crossing dangerous intersections, etc...is not considered protecting their safety and well being.

Busing should be provided for kids that live more than 1 mile from the school. Especially for middle school and high school kids. Times have changed, these kids should not be expected to cross highways and busy intersections without crossing guards!

all children in middletown should have a safe bus Ride to school! i remember when they didn't at one time, then it resumed to picking up all kids. whether you chose to use it or drive your child.

My BFF lives in Westchester county, literally across the street from their school and her son gets a bus! This bus system is truly archaic and needs to be reevaluated!

While it may be State law that no bus service within two miles of a school, that law needs to be revisited. Today, there are more vehicles on the road, everyone is in a hurry, less sidewalks, more violence, more working single parent families and more working two parent families. To keep all school children safe, busses should and must be provided morning and afternoon, regardless of distance from a school, and for after school classes, sports, programs, etc. Busses transporting students must be safe, provide seat belts, proper seating, etc. Wake up New Jersey and wake up Middletown. We have busy County roads, State highways and overcrowded local roads ferrying people to and from. Our children, the future, need to be kept safe getting to and from school and after school activities, We provide busing for rail and ferry commuters but can't provide busing for less than two miles to our children. Doesn't make sense to me.

There are no sidewalks on the way out of my development (Priscilla)to get to Middletown-Lincroft rd.. Once on Mid-Lincroft rd is is way to hazardous for kids to walk.

Crossing guards are not allowed on County Route 520. All student living on the opposite side of 520 from Lincroft School are provided busing regardless of distance. Wouldn't that be the same logic? If they refuse or can not provide crossing guards to safely cross these major road ways in our town, they should provide buses. Not to mention, every single day cars are passing buses with their lights on while picking up and dropping off students. We are supposed to feel safe letting our children cross these roads on their own?

Middletown Lincroft Road is a main road with many cars speeding up and down it. It is not safe for any child to be walking to and from school.

No fence in sidewalk down Hill of MTLR just past Priscilla. Very steep and pedestrian would fall directly in road if veered off sidewalk

The routes and stops are planned for safety, efficiency, and to meet time constraints in accordance with the Board of Education policies. Bus stops are assigned to accommodate the majority of the children in a designated area. Flexibility, routes and stops may be changed at any time. Parents shall be informed prior to a change
