I am opposed until Briarcliff is made into 5 lanes from N Druid Hills to Clairmont...with center turning lane.

Will cause too much traffic! They should go to corner of B'cliff & Clairmont. That is very ugly corner.

DeKalb County intends to engage in a collaborative effort and produce an agreed upon strategic plan for the overall North Druid Hills LCI study area (along NDH from I-85/ Brookhaven to Clairmont) and get it approved by the end of 2017. The county plans to have a series of meetings with communities in and around this LCI study area, as part of the Community Workforce Program, to get input from residents on where the densities need to be higher or lower as part of the CWP five-year plan. Larry Washington, the senior long range planner on the County Planning Staff, says the county will absolutely not initiate any land use changes in the Comprehensive Plan for this area until after a long process of community engagement and consensus from all the affected neighborhoods throughout 2017. The senior long range planner also said that the idea of transitional zoning in the suburban classification from office zoning down to single family zoning along Briarcliff Road is nonsense. This rezoning would adversely affect our neighborhood due to continuing encroachment of high density and O&I zoning down Briarcliff which eventually suffocates single family residential streets into isolated islands. The Comprehensive Plan should not be changed from suburban character area along Briarclif Road, on both sides of Cliff Valley, prior to the full community engagement process scheduled for 2017 being completed. Keep the density at the base amount of 4 units per acre.

Keeping the current zoning is more in line with the current homes on Briarcliff. The traffic increase will be worse with denser housing.

I oppose this development because there are already MAJOR traffic concerns and problems in this area. This will only add to the massive nightmare of this already overburdened area of the neighborhood by adding such a development.

We want the area to remain in the Suburban Character area.

Couldn't agree more with this petition. I live in the area and would be affected by even MORE traffic.

This area has single family homes immediately adjacent which would be GREATLY impacted by this proposed development. As stated by another - spot zoning! Briarcliff Road is JAMMED already and with the final additions of sidewalks it appears that the county expects us to walk rather than ride! Enough already!!!!

No more building in this area! The traffic is horrendous. These small, narrow and single lanes streets are unable to support any further residences in this area. Unless you plan to highly expand all these streets AND all the Peachtree roads , then NO MORE BUILDING AND REZONING.

2209 Street Deville NE This would be blatant spot zoning. The area to the west is a flood plain, to the east suburban, to the south agricultural.

Do Not change the zoning from single family to multi unit housing. Briarcliff road is at a stand still at certain times of the day - and widening the road will not help. Stop building condos where single family homes are zoned.

Traffic has gotten significantly worse over the last several years to the point that I cannot leave my neighborhood during rush hour. Cars are already backed up onto the I-85 access road from Cliff Valley during rush hour. Allowing this zoning to change will only make the traffic worse. This area cannot handle any more high density housing.
