Opposition to Commercial Zoning for the City of Oak Hill

Opposed to any comercial development in Oak Hill.

As a 20 year Oak Hill resident and homeowner, I absolutely OPPOSE ANY commercial development within our city limits now or in the future!

No commercial development please. Let's keep it as originally intended.

Please keep Oak Hill as it was meant to be: a beautiful residential only area. Let's not do to Oak Hill what Metro has allowed in Green Hills. Thanks.

I oppose annexation of even one acre for commercial development in Oak Hill

Supremely disappointing that the commissioners are still pursuing this initiative. Unbelievable. I applaud the people that brought awareness to the residents of Oak Hill and Nashville of this scheme.

NO to commercial zoning in residential Oak Hill. 100 acres, an initial 30 acres, or 0 acres "for now". Commercial traffic dependent retail and high density housing to increase the population of Oak Hill to 5,000 residents is not of interest. Limestone cut/blasted Oak Hills are not of interest; regardless of the color of chain link safety fencing at the top of limestone wall cuts. Common sense would never have paid for commercial planning, specifications, design documents, guidelines, maps, ordinances, studies, and the city paid expenses to conclude with a unanimous approval of the ordinance on First Reading. Please stop the reserve fund spending on public relations, consultants, studies, surveys, phone calls, emails, mailings, & media relations. Please stop draining precious reserves for city payroll, benefits, office equipment, City Court, and administration. Oak Hill does not need to be transformed into Maryland Farms with Bradford Pear "landscaping" guided by contracted prior Brentwood City Manager Mike Walker and Oak Hill City Manager Kevin Helms. Rather,please properly budget and appropriate funds on roadway preventive maintenance and repair (before replacement is required) drainage, drainage structures, and residential zoning support as used to be done for decades resulting at approximately $8,000,000 of reserve balances a few years ago. Please publish at the 2020 meetings a current FY 2013-14 detailed reserve projections reflecting a complete recognition of all known/contracted expenses including those associated with all of the commercial rezoning activity and financial gifts made by the City. Thank you.

Let's keep Oak Hill quiet, residential, and beautiful. NO NO NO to this terrible commercial development plan. Also, let's replace our current city leaders -- they are not upholding our city's mission or values.

I am against commercial development in Oak Hill

We just recently moved here from Los Angeles and chose Oak Hill for its feeling of the country and the beauty of the nature. Let's keep it that way.

As a new resident of Tennesse and Oak Hill I do not want to see over commercialization of this beautiful area we now call home.

We have l;ived in Oak Hill for 40 years. We want O H to stay resendential, as it was chartered to be. Look what is hapening in the aear of Krogers shopping center.

I am opposed to any commercial zoning in Oak Hill.

There is plenty of commercial development all around us. Oak Hill does not need to add to the congestion, pollution, and noise. It is a degradation of nature and undermines the mission of the Oak Hill community.

I specifically own a home with my husband in Oak Hill because it is not commercial. This will detract from the value of living here and be an atrocity to our natural environment, not to speak of the traffic issues that will ensue. What is happening in Cool Springs should not be a model for our quiet community.
