This would be a terrible thing ... I have lived within 400 yards of this proposed commercial zoning development for 69 years ... it would break my heart to see this happen. The traffic there is already a nightmare. I oppose !!!

After my initial comment above, I noted that on its website, the City has included a copy of the certified audit report for the required financial statements for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2013 . Also, the City included a copy of a study dated July 2013, discussing two potential alternatives for raising revenues : 1) increasing cetain service fees/property taxes for Oak Hill residents or 2) allowing commercial development for generating fees and taxes. While tough choices will need to be made, the Hall tax elimination ( and resulting revenue reduction to the City) if ultimately realized, could be offset without commercial development.
I am opposed to the approval of an ordinance allowing commercial development in the city of Oak Hill. The residential integrity of Oak Hill should be preserved, consistent with its mission statement. The City should provide a transparent financial report to its residences that includes prior year financial statements ( balance sheet and income statement) along with a pro forma/projection of the budget for the next three years with various assumptions regarding Hall Tax funding and other revenue along with expenses.

95 acres, or 5 acres --it's a very slippery slope and shouldn't be allowed.

With this size development, we will be boxed in by Green HIlls and this proposal creating congestion going north and south.
