Opposition to Commercial Zoning for the City of Oak Hill

We are against the proposed commercial development.

Yes, I am opposed to the commerical development within the city of Oak Hill. I am further opposed to any new property taxes. Mr. MCM, Ms. Clax. and for sure Mr. Kyle Felts operate within the present budget.

I absolutely opposed this proposed commercial zoning. It violates the mission statement of Oak Hill.

I am strongly opposed to this proposal.

From the information that has been currently provided I am opposed to this proposal. I encourage the commissioners to reveal all details in the bright light of the sun so the citizens of Oak Hill have a fair opportunity to examine the proposal and understand its ramifications.

A project of this magnitude demands much more extensive vetting before the citizenry of Oak Hill can possibly be expected to accept it. I don't know that the additional tax is a quid pro quo

I would have to see more details on the hows and whys before I would be comfortable with this issue proceding.

Strongly oppose commercial development ANYWHERE in Oak Hill. This goes against the reason Oak Hill was established, and it is against what our Commissioners were elected to uphold.

Something of this scale should be carefully considered by all residents, with several options to choose from. Then we should have a referendum, not rely on three votes from commissioners that have already made their decision and sold us out. I'm far more concerned about what they have NOT told us about the future. How about putting in a BestBuy or other big box in Austim McMullen's back yard, instead of ours...

I am opposed to the commercial development in Oak Hill.

I do not want the commercial development.

This is very shady. the first reading was snuck in around Thanksgiving and the second is scheduled for a few days before Christmas! The survey questions were totally misleading and did not include vital info about the horrid impact of the proposed development. This smacks of “insider trading” and a gross misuse of political power. The same folks behind the faield Streets of Brentwood project are behind this! Stop it NOW or we will all be sorry. I happen to live right next to the proposed commercial zone, and I only found out about by accident a few days ago. I have totally lost my trust and confidence in the officials who were eleceted to protect me!

I do not support commercial building in Oak Hill regardless of the impact on taxes or services offered.

I oppose commercial zoning.
