Opposition to Commercial Zoning for the City of Oak Hill

I OPPOSE THE COMMERCIAL ZONING

This decision should be delayed until next year.

There were several solutions proposed at the meeting that completely solve potential budget problems. Destroying the very fabric of Oak Hill by creating potential commercial development in this area was not one of them. 1. pay for trash pickup. 2. once a week instead of twice a week trash pickup 3. increased property tax 4. not have highly paid officials, like many other communities.

Our community is entitled to more information.

I am against this rezoning proposition. I would be willing to pay for trash pickup and/or pay an additional property tax in order to prevent commercial development in the City of Oak Hill.

Stick to our mission - preserve the residential environment of Oak Hill.

Please delay this important vote until all residents are fully informed.

This issue is hotly contested, that in itself should be enought to delay for more information or education.

The Oak Hill Mission Statement clearly claims that the city is to preserve residential environment, once one commercial area is allowed, surely the precedent will be used to establish others.

At this point in time I oppose any commercial development in the City of Oak Hill.

Do not disturb the the residential beauty and integrity of Oak Hill.
