Oppose the Sandy Point Oyster Farm - Let Kids Play

It looks like CRMC approved this last night???!!! I could be wrong, but that's how I read the application.

This area is frequently used by kids and adults paddle boarding and kayaking. Also Sandy point is frequently closed due to bacteria which can’t be good for raising oysters . Please find another location.

No one single person should be able to limit hundreds from enjoying our coastline!!!

Wrong place for an oyster farm. There is no place on Aquidneck Island for industry to interfere with public water activities.

I oppose the oyster farm at Sandy Point. Also I do not give permission to use my email for anything other than confirmation of this signing.

I am opposes to anything that restricts on public waterways to the benefit of only 1.

This area is used for boating, swimming etc. public access should not be restricted there.

I paddle board and kayak with my family off Sandy Point and also McCorrie Point......how far out into the river will I have to go? Seems that it will be hazardous to be near the oyster farm if it's built

Please don't ruin my kayaking route from McCorrie to Sandy Point.

This area has a high concentration of use for swimming,boating, tubing, water skiing, paddle boards, Kayaks etc. Public access should not be hindered for private profit.

So the meeting with CRMC is tonight at 6pm at One Capital Hill Providence (Administration Building) It is the only chance we will get to be heard. If you have any objections, please attend the meeting. It is a pain to drive to Providence but it is going to rain any way so what else will we be doing. The applicant does plan on expanding once this smaller plan is in place and we will not have a say then. Once it is here it is here to stay and it is only going to get BIGGER!. Did I mention He is from New Jersey!! Not even a Rhode Islander. He doesn't understand why we live here, but will lease the water we enjoy for $$$$$.

Please do this elsewhere....preserve the open water for swimming and the use of Town Residents!!

We live on an island. We grow up playing in the Sakonnet River waters. Go to the Narragansett Bay side with very little swimming.

I strongly oppose. This is a highly used area for recreation. Also the beach is often closed for bacteria levels.

They have one at gull cove Grove. Formally known as the pits. Who gave that person the rights to place them there?Where people use to jet ski and be pulled by boats tubing. The person who has that oyster Farm is a jerk because he told me one time when I was swimming I should not be there because he has work to do..

Ellen, I had replied to this earlier.... I don't see my reply. I sent CRMC an email explaining why I feel this is not a good idea. I had posted here the email address, but I don't see that either. I am a kayaker that "hugs the shore" from McCorrie to Sandy Point. I surely am against this!
