Put in on the ballot! This is something that doesn't just have an effect on school kids and families. This will have an effect on most every one in the community one way or another. It shouldn't be up to those select few school board members to make decisions for the entire county population.

My grandchildren get on the bus at 7:00a.m.. and get off the bus at 4:30 p.m. we only live 5 miles from the school. How much longer will they be on the bus if we consolidate. I can drive to Harrisburg in less time.

I oppose the consolidation. My kids attend Thompsontown-Delaware Elementary; I love the small class sizes and how well the kids, as a class and whole school, get along.

Using cost of transportation as a rock solid answer, POOR THINKING< Transportation is a variable cost with no controls, Buses, Fuel, insurances, Drivers & Driver benefit cost all subject to go up without warning. Seems as our board has no clue how expenses actually work!! Tax Increases will follow at an alarming rate.

It didn't work out well in Mifflin County so I don't know why Juniata County thinks it will work out well there. Children will always learn better in smaller class sizes where they can receive one on one help if they are struggling. Larger class sizes will eliminate most of the additional help any students may need.

I don't want my child to spend 45 min to an hour on a bus. I don't think he would get the opportunity to get the help he needs with more students to a teacher even with a teacher's aide it be a lot on one person.

((I don't believe I signed this yet.)) The classes are large enough and the ride time to school is long enough.

I think it's a horrible idea to have these kids travel so far when fixing up the schools would be a fraction of the cost than remodeling an entire building to accommodate everyone. Smaller classes equals better outcomes with more 1 on 1 time between the students and teachers. I'd rather my son have a better education even if threatened by a tax increase if we don't consolidate.
