We the undersigned are residents of Brent.
We oppose the Council's decision to impose a £40 charge on residents for collecting green waste.
This is an onerous and unnecessary additional charge on hard-pressed residents, and is an underhand way for Brent Council to impose a council tax increase via the back door.
Instead of imposing additional taxes, we urge the Executive to reconsider this proposal, and instead concentrate on reducing their high levels of wasteful spending, and running the Council more efficiently and effectively.
