We are more than capable of deciding where we spend our time. I have stage IV cancer and I'm likely one of those who the board's decision was meant to protect, but I'm not worried about the pool being open and can police myself. Our kids need an escape, so let it be our choice.

We have to think about the mental health of the kids who live in our neighborhood. They need some normalcy in their lives right now. I have been seeing several children in daycares and we have not seen an outbreak in any of these situations. If someone is high risk, they do not have to use the pool. Let's hurry up and finish the repairs that seem to have stalled, put out the chairs, and open the pool.

It’s really as simple as: If YOU don’t want to go to the pool, then don’t go. Everyone who goes is making a conscious decision, and knows the risk involved.

We would like to see it open. Chairs spread out in pairs, 6 feet apart. Also, would agree with limiting total number of people at once. If we could have cleaning supplies in the clubhouse (hand sanitizer and clorox wipes), I’m willing to help collect donations for those supplies.

My parents are Jeffrey and Kathleen McCullough, and their neighborhood pool has been a source of enjoyment for my son (their grandson) for many summers now. We understand the concerns with COVID-19 and feel we can self-police to maintain an enjoyable environment for everyone in the neighborhood while remaining safe and cool this summer. Thank you.

I know that the board was thinking of all of us when they voted but I think we can all be responsible and keep things clean and practice distancing. I would like to see it opened.

The pool should be opened. People who do not feel comfortable do not need to go to the pool. The HOA shouldn't be determining what you think is best for my family...the government does that enough. Open the pool. Thanks

I have completed the HOA board survey and articulated my thoughts on a Next Door Neighbor post. Please open the pool with precautions posted and let all of us determine whether the risk outweighs the benefit and whether we want to use the pool or not this summer. Thanks!

This seems to be a poor decision on the part of the board. No one is required to go to the pool if they fear contamination. But those of us who want to go should have the option!

Open the pool!!! We need it! This is a “happy” place for many families in our neighborhood during the summer and a much looked forward to time of year for many. Each homeowner can choose to use the pool or not. Post suggested guidelines. Prepare a waiver. Keep key FOBS deactivated for those who prefer not to use it.

Please let us be adults and decide for ourselves if we want to use the pool. If not opened all homeowners should receive a partial refund of their yearly dues as some of it is the cost of operating the pool.
