We the undersigned in agreement with all those seeking legal education in Ghana, and in the pursuance of each person's right to education and to choose the professions they prefer without hindrance or let, urge The General Legal Council to stop preventing and denying qualified candidates the opportunity to pursue a professional Law qualification.
We Urge the GLC to end its approach of running a school with limited capacity, whose students are the only ones who can pursue a professional qualification in law, thereby denying all others who do not get admission at this particular school and in effect infringing their right to education by virtue of the monopoly the GLC has created.
The GLC must administer their examinations to all qualified candidates regardless of whether they attend the GLC School or otherwise. This way no one will be denied the opportunity to pursue a professional Law qualification and become Lawyers without dealing with the constraint and monopoly of the limited GLC School.
We Urge the Government, the Ghana Bar Association, The General Legal Council to Act. Change this NOW.

I am a chartered accountant and we were not restricted in the number of students who could enroll on the programme. I think everyone who wants to read law should equally not be restricted. It's an art/humanities and not medicine.
I agree, and I say this respectfully, Doctors are working on Human Beings which matter on life and death but it has been decentralized so why is the law school restricting people from actualizing their dreams?
I believe the selection process for being admitted into the law school denies many of the opportunity of pursuing a career in law and also limits the options for legal counsel available to the public
I believe that the current situation does not provide enough opportunities for all qualified persons because of limited spaces. If the GLC concentrates on just the qualifications exams, the current training schools and possibly others to be set up can see to preparing people for the exams.
Make it open to everyone who want to become a lawyer. I have the ambition but I'm told it will be difficult to get into Makola because I don't know any prominent politician to help me out.
This is a noble caurse that all must help pursue.
