Don’t open the pools. People are getting crazy for jumping into the pool and spreading the corona. I don’t understand if they don’t have bathroom in their house to take a 5min shower. What they do in the pool? Whether pool provides better water than bathrooms. They will kill others by swimming together in the same pool by giving corona virus to each other. No one knows who is symptomatic. Opening pool means killing people, genocide in these unusual circumstances.

As much as I want to hear the conversation about pool today it did not happen. As soon some person start talking about opening the pool I was disconnected and when they let me in again to the conversation the board moved to another question already. I assume the pools will stay closed.

Please open the pools. Here are some ideas on how to do this: Sign up in advance for 2-3 hour time slots. Allow access from outside the pool where we don’t have to walk through locker rooms. Have 2-3 lap lanes open. No guests permitted. Everyone using the pool signs a waiver so they can’t sue KROC if they catch COVID -19.

The resorts have figured out how to open pools safely and keep distancing. Limited number allowed for 2hours. Then switch off and allow others for 2 hours. Schedule people in for certain times. Ex: 50 allowed from 11-1p then 130p-330p different 50 people. Etc...until closing. This allows everyone opportunity to enjoy pool.

At the beach the pool was open for 2 hours then closed for 1 to clean it and so on plus only 35 people were allowed at a time. Do that if need be.

I understand not wanting to many kids running around, but there are plenty of ways to safely open for at least lap swim.

First off, you can remove my signature as there was no other way for me to leave a comment. Where is the option in the petition for the sane majority of Kingstowne to voice their option that the pools should be closed? It amazes me that a few selfish people with first world problems desire to raise the risk of a COVId spike as well as financial repercussions on every dues paying member of the association. For real, it’s only one season!!!! Get over yourselves and be adults. Look what’s happening in the country right now; 3/4 of the US is experiencing rising cases, the first states to reopen are having spikes, people are dying, survivors are suffering life long consequences. If you can’t live without a swim - find a lake, river, pond, or drive 2 hours to the ocean. Seriously, the last thing y’all should be worried about is congregating at a pool. Chlorine/ bromine is not going to stop the virus from spreading in the air, via surfaces, etc. You really think people who already can’t follow pool rules in a normal year are going to look out for your safety? Let’s see how you all feel in 3-4 weeks when numbers head up again or you get sick yourselves.

Open up the pools and gym. Let the kids swim and the adults get fit.

I am one of the few remaining ORIGINAL Kingstowne Owners, since 1990! Many similar pools have recently reopened in NoVa as well as MoCo (which has even more rigid criteria). This is one of the ONLY healthy and reasonably SAFE physical activities we can do. This is normally one of the highlights of Kingstowne and remaining closed "preemptively" for the entire Summer is an over-reaction! PLEASE do give this petition some serious thought!

The Pool closer is done to minimize the infection rate through human contact and not through water. With the ongoing community spread of the virus that causes COVID-19, we should be more responsible to minimize the spread and keep our families safe. If the pools open and kids get sick then will inevitability spread it to other children and households which is extremely hard to manage. While I understand that we all want life to be normal, we should put more effort as a community to control the spread.
