Fremont County is gathering information to establish Copper Mountain near Shoshoni, WY as a mixed use managed trail system for the public to use. This is public land for public use. Please sign this petition to support this use. If you are interested in opening this area for atv, motorcycle, hiking, rock climbing, hunting, mountain biking, rock crawlingetc , please sign.
Discussions with local officials regarding the future of Copper Mountain are progressing steadily. The breadth of support for a diverse trail system remains a primary focus as we prepare for upcoming public hearings.

The momentum behind this initiative demonstrates a clear consensus regarding the future of Copper Mountain. We are now well positioned to present this mandate to the officials in Fremont County.

Off road racing and Motorsports brings together some of the kindest and honest people in the world, and it teaches skills and camaraderie to younger generations not to mention it brings financial gain to surrounding communities and gives them something to do besides drugs and TV .

Please consider development of the Copper Mountain area for public mixed use--including motorized use. This seems to be an opportunity similar to Moab, Utah, to offer non-conflicting, mixed use recreational opportunities to the public.

It would be nice to have a nice place to wheel that isn’t states away like the Black Hills or Moab. And also it would increase revenue for fuel, food, lodging, and repair shops.

Multiple use access is one of the best designations for backcountry areas. This engages many stakeholders and promotes stewardship of public lands that are invaluable to a governing body of publicly employed land managers.
Please designate as multiple use.
Thank you

I love that Wyoming is considering this. It should bring some revenue along with more things to do in this awesome state. I have been rockcrawling for 20 years and those in the sport take care of the land they use.

I would love to see an area In Wyoming to do some rock crawling. This year I’m the events cordinator for the Big Horn Mountan crawlers and would like to offer up my services to help in any way. Keep up the good work to all party’s involved at this time.
