I have been regularly playing golf at Albany Muni (Capital Hills) since age 7 ... I am now 64. The course closure is very distressing. Please open as you have for my entire life.

Sad Very Sad state of affairs. A Dog Park out of The Capitol hills Golf Course. That golf Course was probably the best venue that Albany has to offer . Wake up Albany you have hit a new low...

It makes no sense that the Cap Hills golf course is not operating as such, instead it’s functionality is is now limited to a dog park which is a slap in the face to the people whose hobbies include golfing.

It is important life returns to a “new” normal and depriving golfers the chance to go out and enjoy a round of golf is uncalled for. Shame on the city of Albany and it’s leaders.

I personally worked at the course for 5 years when I was younger. I miss having the course open to play. Many albany youth were able to work there in the summer and it helped many get out and develop work ethic. I can’t believe the mayor is not opening. If Jennings was around the course would be firing on all cylinders AND it would be making money. Either open up or sell the course to an investor with plans to keep its current use. Another great albany venue ruined. It might be time to move.
