One of the top 5 course in the capital district. There is no reason the city shouldn’t be able to come up with a solution to open the course

I would think that if the golf course opened and generated revenue then possibly dgs workers would not be furloughed . Just a thought. Or maybe we should withhold our taxes until services are restored.

It’s time to be guided by common sense. We need to have a safe place to exercise. Let the people play!

Why hasn’t anyone in DGS submitted the profit and loss statement for the golf course. We know it took in 1.2 million last year. Only lists one expense and that is the superintendent. Very poor accountability. I hope Martel’s hasn’t paid the city since our mayor doesn’t care that she is hurting that business.

What a shame, this has always been a golf course - there is no reason the residents of Albany cannot play golf. They certainly pay enough taxes

Some revenue better than zero revenue.

A municipal golf course is a public service to the taxpayers of the community. It is not intended to generate revenue. What a sham this is to use the golf course as a political and equity argument and plea for funding. Golf is a sport enjoyed by all races and genders. This is a public course open to all, rich or poor. This is inexcuseable.

The course is being maintained. Why not open it for the enjoyment of citizens and take in a few bucks ?

Where did people and their pets walk before the course closed for golf? Open it now for golf.
