THE GATES ARE FINALLY OPENING FOR EVERYONE!! WE COLLECTED 480 SIGNATURES AND THE COUNTY ACTUALLY LISTENED TO US. KEEP HITTING THE TRAILS AND STAY VIGILANT TO MAKE SURE THEY KEEP THEIR PROMISE!!!
Why are you closing the dam for public access? Many people use this beautiful walk for health reasons. (Including me). I urge you to re-open the dam walk for us. I drive by the dam frequently and there are always people walking. Don’t take this away from us!!

This is the one place where people of all ages can walk. Not everyone has the ability to walk the trails due to age, injury, etc. This safe, flat surface is an area that allows more people to take advantage of the beauty the lake and hill country has to offer.

I take my grandmother every time she comes into town. It’s something we have been doing for years. It’s such a shame if we aren’t allowed to walk it anymore, she will be devastated when she finds out next weekend whenever she gets here. It’s her favorite spot to go and talk and enjoy our time together.

As a person that's handicapped, I'm a right BKA, I believe that this should be open. If someone that's handicapped doesn't feel safe going on the dam then they shouldn't go, not restrict those that want to walk out, or wheel out as the case may be, and see how majestic it all looks from that vantage point.

So wrong in every manner! Many things are grandfathered and are impossible for change! What is the world coming to? Not to mention this damn brings in people from all over the country and is revenue for this community of Canyon Lake & the business’s here! Such stupidity

Correct the issue as this is a local landmark used by residents and visitors alike. Army Corps of Engineers was aware of its use by foot traffic and failed to accommodate persons of disabilities. They are responsible for the cost. Fix It!!

This has been one of my favorite spots to walk for over thirty years, the pathways going down to the lake are much more dangerous than the paved dam, unbelievable.
