NO CUTTING OF TEACHERS AT CMS!

We owe our children and their teachers our full support. Please sustaining the current level of funding or better yet, increase it to ensure we can retain necessary staff positions. Reductions now would have an immediate, negative impact on the quality of education and support our children receive.

Please make sure the long overdue new middle school remains properly staffed and supported. Central families have endured a lot and we need the administration to support us now with with your attention and foresight. Thank you.

My son has already lost chorus on his schedule due to the reduction of music electives. I can't imagine having his electives squeezed even further with staff reductions.

I have 2 kids at CMS and decided to keep them there because of quality education and the team approach. Some of our friends went private, but we chose to stay. Do NOT drive more families into private schools by killing quality public schools!

Letting teachers go because of anticipated lower enrollment is extremely short sighted.

As a former CMS parent, I strongly support "Open Enrollment" at CMS. Many students that are districted for CMS have been permitted to matriculate at EMS and WMS over the past few years, EMS and WMS students should have the same opportunity to attend the brand new CMS if they want.

As a former CMS parent and a soon-to-be CMS parent again, I strongly support "Open Enrollment" at CMS. I’m signing this petition not just as a former student and teacher, but as a professional advocate who has seen firsthand what makes Central Middle School exceptional. I attended CMS as a student and later returned as a special education teacher, working across all three grades. Many of the teachers who still work there today shaped my own education and later became my colleagues and friends. As CMS prepares to open a brand new school building, it’s more important than ever that we retain the incredible educators who create the strong, family-like environment that defines this community. Supporting our teachers and expanding open enrollment will help ensure that CMS enters this next chapter with the stability and student population it needs to thrive.
