If New Haven is going to be on the sign heading North from New York, signs going north from DC should include, in order: - Baltimore - Wilmington - Philadelphia - Trenton - Newark - New York - New Haven - Providence - Boston - Portsmouth - Portland

I'm a born & raised Wilmingtonian who relocated to Baltimore in '08. I still visit home often and have always thought it was an odd oversight that neither my hometown nor my original "adopted hometown" -- the Illadelph -- was on any of the many signs whenever I get in my car and head up I-95 N. Either way (putting Wilmington or Philadelphia), this needs to be corrected! I'm more than happy to add my name to this cause!

Read Mike Newall's story and I'm with you on this topic. I've noticed and mentioned the lack of Philly signs on my many trips to and from DC

You have touched on an important issue - important to Philly. All too many of our friends, coming down from NY to visit us here, have missed the City. Why? The NJ Turnpike does no better than Maryland - where do I get off to reach Philadelphia? Where are clear signs? How many?Too easily missed. We get calls from Wilmington: "Where are you? We thought you were off I-95."

I too noticed that a few years ago when on I-95. What happened to Philadelphia, the Cradle of Liberty and the 4 or 5 largest city in the USA?

Agreed - Change the signs to proper travel cities - Philadelphia BEFORE New York

I moved to Philly 13 years ago for a job. The job ended after 2 years, but I had fallen in love with the city, so I never left. The birthplace of the nation deserves more respect than to be left off of signs on the interstate.

I make this trip several times/year and have wondered why Philadelphia is disregarded. Didn't know where to go with a petition so glad someone else spearheaded the effort.

Don't understand WHY PHILADELPHIA CANNOT BE ADDED TO THE I-95 Sign ABOVE NEW YORK. After all, Philly has a lot to offer, from historical sights (Our Nation's Birth place) Museums and other OUTSTANDING Attractions, along with World Class Dining.

This grates on me every time I come home from visiting my daughter who lives in DC. It is disgusting that NY is up there where Philly should be. No disrespect to NY but we come first on that road.

I've always thought we were robbed by not having our name as the next city.

I find this approach by M-DOT to be confusing for drivers. There is plenty of room on that sign to read: Wilmington-Philadelphia-NY. This is a dangerous disservice to drivers not familiar with the geography of the northeast.

this is annoying, when traveling south in the middle of nowhere, you see signs for towns you never heard of....
