We the undersigned request that the Springfield VT School Board draft a policy stating that no flags other than those of the United States of America and the State of Vermont shall be displayed on campus at all Springfield schools.
This eliminates any discrimination or political preferences (in accordance with the Vermont State Constitution) and demonstrates inclusivity for all students and staff.

Only our countries flag should be raised ! The American flag stands for way more than just BLM and people forget that it wasn’t just whites who served in war .
The legal premise as a public domain should be no different for this than any other type of endorsement of political or non profit nature by a public agency.
The only flag at a school should be the American flag and the state flag, otherwise you'd need a hundred poles to fly all the flags people would want.
Mia, the point of this petition is to keep our schools politically neutral; we're all in this state and in this country, the flags that should be displayed should reflect the state and the country and that's it. Political stances are opinions, and those should be kept off school grounds and out of classrooms.
Not sure what you're getting at, Emily? The goal with this petition is to keep schools politically neutral by not allowing any flags other than the US and State flags. Keep it simple and inclusive. If a flag from one group is allowed, EVERY flag from EVERY group should be allowed - that's when fights are going to break out.
Let's keep this civil, please...I'm not looking for anger, threats, hatred, or arguments. :-)
