The feedback regarding the marathon route continues to highlight how much this decision affects local neighborhoods. I am currently compiling these experiences to present to the organizing committee.

The momentum behind this request for the marathon route is clear. This level of engagement confirms that our community expects the event to return to East London.

the atmosphere was electric that day. nothing will ever top it
i literally stood at the corner with my kids and we had the best time. let us have it again
too many people forgot how great it was for the community. just bring it back already.
East London needs this. bring the route back to us please!
it was the best part of the whole games watching them run past my house. really missed that vibe

WAY better than the current plan. East london deserves to see the race again.
