The School Board is considering closing Old Shell Road, one of the best schools in Mobile County. They are attempting to cut expenses, and have focused on small schools and old buildings. While we understand that times are tough, we know we must look to the future when making difficult decisions. Old Shell Road students out-perform the other students in Mobile County as measured by standardized testing. The School is in an historic neighborhood, and the local residents do not want to see the school abandoned. The school has tremendous support from past alumni, teachers, and the present students and their families. Please sign our petition to let the School Board know that we want to save the historic building, the curriculum, and the teaching staff of Old Shell Road.
