We to object to Tesco's proposals to open a Tesco Express on the site of the Wey Inn at Meadrow, Godalming, due to road safety issues, particularly in view of the of the adjacent school and the adverse impact on members of the community.

we are almost at 250 signatures and it would be huge to cross that line before we send this over to the council. its getting serious now so please tell anyone local who is worried about the traffic or the school to get their name on this list.

we are almost at the hundred mark and i need everyone to push a little bit harder right now. if we hit this goal today it puts way more pressure on them before the next meeting.

uneccessary, ugly store, in the wrong location, undermining the local community by steamrollering an independent business, and creating a real risk to schoolchildren who will be scootering back and forward across a car park. A bad, bad location for a supermarket.

The traffic issues and impact on other local businesses are important, but it's completely rational for tesco to be opportunistic -the principle of such companies being able to take over empty pubs due to the lack of planning restrictions is the fault of government/the planning system so they are just as culpable. Tesco have form not just in Milford but also Guildford where they were allowed to build over Guildford's best (only?) athletics track for their store by the hospital. If this new store does go ahead here's hoping people vote with their feet and continue to spend elsewhere.

Just dont see how the road layout handles the delivery trucks. Its far too narrow and dangerous for the kids walking to school nearby.

RIDICULOUS. We have plenty of shops and we dont need another big chain killing the local vibe. Keep it out of Meadrow.

The traffic there is already a nightmare at school drop off times. Having people pulling in and out for milk and bread will just cause a massive accident eventually. Bad idea.
