The cemetery board finally agreed to stop the mowing and restore the patches they tore up which honestly feels surreal after all this time. I am so relieved our flowers are safe now but I am definitely going to keep a close eye on those maintenance crews whenever I visit.

I really never thought this would blow up like it has because I was just staring at a patch of dirt and feeling kind of small about the whole thing. Seeing so many people actually care about these flowers makes me feel like maybe we can actually get the board to listen for once. It is honestly wild how momentum builds when you stop feeling like you are fighting things alone.

This is Texas. We respect our state flower. Stop the mowing immediately.
My grandmother is buried there and those flowers meant so much to her. Absolutely heartbreaking to see them just mowed down like weeds.
The cemetery looks so cold and empty now. It needs that life back.
Unbelievable. Why would anyone ruin something so beautiful that families worked hard to plant?
KEEP THE BLUEBONNETS ALIVE. It is a cemetery not a construction site.
