In signing this petition, I am protesting Governor Paterson's proposed budget cuts that would in turn close valued state parks. I support alternative means of cutting the state budget that do not include the closure of our low-cost and revenue producing parks throughout the state, which provide a resource for our communities access to healthy, affordable, family-oriented recreation that, with said access from the public, generate spending within New York that would surely be dirven elsewhere in the Northeast, if the parks close.

These parks are the only places my kids can run around for free. Cutting them is just short sighted and plain stupid.

My family has been going to these trails for years. Don't take away our summers.

NY is expensive enough as it is. leave our parks alone.

Ridiculous. Find money somewhere else instead of ruining public spaces for regular people.

It makes no sense to close places that actually bring people into the small towns. This is just gonna hurt local businesses too.

Keep them open. Seriously.
