As a proud Nova Scotian I am a humble soul, however when there are people with families, elderly and low income having to sacrifice in order to eat to pay their power bills, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Nova Scotia power is literally raking in the millions, while we struggle to heat our homes, watch a tv or even keep a fridge running, they have admitted to NUMEROUS mistakes in billings, over charging customers, yet the customer is NEVER right when argueing or disputing something with these people! They are ALWAYS right! I think these people in charge of NSP need to make THEIR own power consumptions, costs, and wages PUBLIC so WE can see how chances are they are NOT being over charged like we are! I am disgusted how these crooks claim people can consume thousands a month in electric fees, how their meters are NEVER wrong, it MUST be wiring in YOUR home, you MUST have something going on with your end! Yet they can BASE an assumption on how much you have used, considering it is usually an "estimate" because HALF of the time the meters are NOT actually even read! My rent each month is LESS then my power budget each month...its disgusting how much they charge and get away with! ! Seniors going hungry and/or without medications, single parents needing to decide to pay the power bill or feed their kids just to pay for this necessity!! Something has to change!!
The one thing that makes me nervous is opening our power bill. It's always more than the last even though all the electrical and panel are less than 5 years old, I have had heat pumps installed last october over the electric base boards. I have changed 95 percent of the bulbs over to l.e.d at a huge cost hoping that my bill would at least be the same twice. It never is
I am sick of trying to keep them at bay, while trying to survive on little money and fight diabetes. NSP is a bully.
Ns power makes millions of dollars. They need to stop ripping their customers off.

800$ for one month. My usage was an estimate on the bill then when they did a read the "estimated" usage was dead on down to the last number lol

I am on the budget plan and pay 436.00 once a month. My power bill is more then my mortgage . During the winter months there are NEVER any footprints near my meter. As a single home owner I feel very defeated by the rhymes and reasoning's of Nova Scotia power =(
