Due to the economy, it has been harder and harder for Families to supply thier children with all school supplies and clothes needed to start the school year. Pioneer Valley is a great school, and it at one point did not have a uniform requirement, it now does and has for years. We are seeking to change the uniform policy at PVE both for individuality and also for Families who have a harder time buying the "approprite" uniform for the school. Not all schools in the Bethel School District have uniforms,in fact there are only 2 or 3 out of the entire district that have uniforms and uniforms do not affect the way that a child learns in school. Please support and sign our petition, and if you don't agree we Thank You for at least listening to our voice.
I don't think they should have uniforms, I have 6 children and it's very hard to 0ay for uniforms when I am the only one who is currently working

I don't like having uniforms because my daughter needs new clothes every year as it is and now I just have to go and spend more money than I can afford. She has now ripped holes In all of her pants and I can't keep affording to buy her new ones when she has a ton a perfectly good clothes at home. Why can't our children have individuality and where what they want as long as it's a good dress code like every other school. Also how come an elementary school has uniforms and the middle
School doesn't. Doesn't make much sense to me considering older kids can tend to be more inappropriate and notice what other kids are actually wearing and younger kids don't care at all. I find it to be a big inconvenience for uniforms period. If I wanted my child to wear a uniform then I would pay for her to go to a private school.
