We, the undersigned residents and homeowners of Del Mar & Solana Beach, want to voice our strong opposition to the current Environmental Impact Report prepared by the 22nd Agricultural District for their proposed expansion and development of the Del Mar Fairgrounds. The cumulative environmental and social impacts on our community are unacceptable in the present EIR. We are very concerned about the ecological impacts on the San Dieguito Lagoon, the increase in traffic affecting air quality, noise, and community tranquility, and the violations of the California Environmental Quality Act, which the City of Del Mar has sent the 22nd DAA in their 65 page letter on January 19,2010.

The scale of this response confirms we have the leverage required to challenge the current Environmental Impact Report. My team is now preparing a formal response to the 22nd Agricultural District board that incorporates the key points raised in the City of Del Mar letter.

Keep Del Mar small. We bought here for the peace and quiet not to live next to a giant event complex.

enough is enough with the fairgrounds. it used to be a community spot but now its just greedy expansion at our expense.

The traffic is already a nightmare every single weekend. We dont need more people and more concrete pushing into the lagoon area.

The noise level is already out of control. My kids can barely sleep with all the extra events and traffic back ups.

Stop ignoring the environmental reports. The lagoon is protected land for a reason.
