No-sort recycling for unincorporated Ada Cty

Boise's new "Curb It" no-sort recycling program is just rolling out. Unfortunately, it is only available to city residents. Because Hidden Springs is in 'unincorporated Ada County' we are not included in the new program and will still need to manually sort our recyclables. This takes extra time and decreases participation in recycling. The unincorporated Ada County trash/recycling contract with Allied Waste expires in September. Ada County Commissioners Rick Yzaguirre, Sharon Ullman and Fred Tillman will be negotiating a new contract over the coming months. Let's let our elected officials know that we would like them to follow the City of Boise's lead and have the County contract include no-sort, single-bin recycling. There are many benefits for both residents and Allied Waste - no-sort recycling is easier for residents, reduces waste and makes recycling pick-up more efficient. By signing the below you are asking the Ada County Commissioners to include no-sort recycling in the new contract they are developing.
