There are more than 1 million veterans in Pennsylvania. Every single one has the chance of experiencing combat PTSD. So with that many veterans, why hasn't Pennsylvania taken the opportunity to help treat it appropriately? PTSD is NOT just an excuse; it is a very fragile condition to which our veterans deserve treatment. There is no excuse that veterans have to fight for adequate treatment. Veterans Affairs centers in PA are sketchy at best and have a habit of accusing struggling patients of drug seeking.

I hear from Iraq Vets all the time that there are not near enough adequate facilities to handle combat PTSD. It doesn’t stop there. Vietnam veterans are still struggling as well. And one hit too close to home. Nicholas Horner didn't get the help he begged for and it caused the death of two people. He had a history of blacking out and still they did nothing.  The VA failed him and so many others. Smaller clinics cannot handle most cases and some don't really care. The reality is that no one was ready for the influx of mental trauma. Now veterans nationwide are suffering. Its reported that a VA counselor made this statement regarding Horner. "Your husband died in Iraq. You're either going to have to deal with that or move on."

Please sign this petition so we can get an actual combat PTSD treatment center capable of helping veterans suffering with PTSD in Pennsylvania.

Its not just Pennsylvania. We will go from state to state until veterans get what they deserve! But for now, one state at a time.

Ridiculous that we send them to war but ignore them when they come home broken. FIX THIS NOW.

My brother served 2 tours and came back a totally different person. The va is a joke and they just push pills on them. These men and women deserve real help not just a waiting room.

Combat trauma is no joke. My buddy is struggling and he has nowhere to turn because the resources just aren't there. We need more centers.

PA really needs to step up. My dad has been trying to get an appointment for months. It is shameful how they treat our heroes.
