1) We do not approve of the plan to take down the Bradford Pear trees in March.

2) We choose not to agree with taking the trees down until there is a well documented plan/proposal to replace the trees in a very reasonable time-frame.

3) Any plan for replacement will need to include replacing the trees with trees that are mature (or take less than 2 years to reach maturity).

4) Plan needs to be approved by the majority of homeowners in the Rolridge entrance.

Please pass this on to all Northbrooke neighbors, especially the Rolrigde entrance neighbors. Everyone deserves the right to voice their opinion, even if they disagree. The trees were evaluated and have at least 5 good years before they will begin to rot. This gives us time to come up with an appropriate plan without making a hasty decision. We ask that the board take into consideration the timing of the tree removal, cost of stumping, and the cost of filling the huge void that will be left. Furthermore, trees should be planted in the early fall, not in March or April. Who will water the new trees everyday during Richmond's hot summer? Needless to say, there is much to discuss before these trees come down. Let's all be part of that discussion.

We cannot take these trees down until we have enough money in the budget to replace them with appropriate sized trees and a thoughtful plan in place. Planting trees in the spring is the WORST time to plant them due to the hot summer months.

Trees are good. Mean people suck. Don't kill our trees you mean people.
