The North Shore Board of Education finally caved and made masks optional. It took far too much pressure to get them to respect parental choice but we won. Keep watching them closely to ensure they do not try to walk this back.
We are asking the North Shore BOE to make masks optional for our students. Nassau county has left this decision up to the individual districts to decide. This is not an anti-mask campaign. This is is a pro-choice campaign. We respect everyone’s rights to decide what measures to take for their own safety. Let’s see those kids smile again
The North Shore Board of Education continues to dodge our emails while they hide behind excuses instead of respecting parental rights. We are currently scouting the next board meeting to make sure they have to look us in the eye and explain why they still think they own our children's faces.

Please leave it up to the parents to decide. Whoever wants to wear a mask please do so but not everyone agrees with having their child/children wear masks all day during school. If you decide to wear a mask there should be no cause for concern about catching anything from anyone else who is not wearing a mask.

The science has never proven that masks reduce transmission, they have however proven to harm the health of our children. Let the parents be the voice!

A district as highly regarded as North Shore should care about children ... all children. Not just the ones who feel ok in masks! Talk about inclusion ...

I will mask my child for the first two - four weeks of school however I strongly believe in parent choice. I want to be able to personally assess the situation and adjust as I see fit for my children. There’s no need for a mandate.

If we are truly to follow the science, then children would not have to be masked in school. It affects them physically and mentally. It is a parent’s choice whether to mask their child. Leave the choice to us- not government.

Social distance, sanitize, wash hands, but do not deprive children of oxygen. It is hard to breathe with masks on all day. Even if you give mask breaks.

Masks are not protecting our children, the particles are smaller than the holes in the mask. This is a form of child abuse. Children are being forced to breath in their own exhalation. Not only is it damaging psychologically but it is also physically. What are the long term affects of mask wearing? Why are our politicians only wearing masks for the cameras?

Evidence shows that masks damage children instead of helping.
