Marc, the trophy situation happen under different leadership. We are working to bring the alumni to the forefront to reclaim our rightful position with honor and respect while supporting the students pursuits of a post secondary education. Hang in here. Read the proclamation at www.sshsalumni.org. We have work to do.

The school is the foundation of the community and represents many years of rich history. To change the name would be a travesty, all will be forgotten, all will be lost of what is so deeply ingrained in the soul and richness of the community and beloved alumni!!!

I'm totally opposed to changing the name of my alma mater. The school has extensive history along with the fact that it represents an entire community which is South Shore neighborhood. Build a school and name that one after the highly respected Willie Barrows.

Changing the name takes away the history of what once was, what it is and what it will be.

The school has went through one name change already. She was a great woman but with all the other schools in the community that can showcase her contribution should have her name

The name South Shore is not just a name of a school.. It's a link to who we are and where we so proudly came from .
