The Cherokee Coalition for Responsible Growth or \"CCRG\" was started in April 2004 by residents of Macedonia who were fighting a high-density development in their neighborhood. From this process, a long-term coalition formed of residents from the surrounding areas. Our mission is to be an ongoing, organized group to help assure that the community of Macedonia, Union Hill, Hickory Flat, Woodstock and surrounding areas reflect an appropriate and responsible land use plan of commercial, residential and rural transitions balanced with fiscally sound government services.
