Our County leaders will soon be voting on one of the most expensive and expansive growth plans in our history. Some estimates are in the 4 to 6 billion dollars and as high as 10 billion over a 25 year period. This will place a gigantic future tax burden on you and your kids. This plan also calls for a huge concentration of growth in urban areas with plans to decrease "sprawl" in the rural areas with "land use" cooperation from landowners! With this growth comes an increase in International Land Use Regulations that could be so restrictive you may lose your farm or be forced to give up your land. The County Commission has delayed this vote once already to "gather more information." The City Mayor and the City Council have already voted to accept it and is waiting on the County to move toward completion of this process. We need you to tell them now to VOTE NO on this BCC 2035 Growth Plan! You casting your vote on this petition will send a strong message to the Mayor and the County Commission that the will of the people must be listened to! Dont give away our future for federal "stimulus money." We love our county and want to keep it secure for the next generations, not bankrupt it! By signing this petition I am telling my County Commission to VOTE NO ON THE BCC 2035 GROWTH PLAN!
