We, the undersigned Residents of the City of Newton, MA, vehemently oppose the resolution proposed by the Aldermen of the Programs and Services Committee to resettle in Newton the Guantanamo held Algeria-born individual, Abdul Aziz Naji, who worked for the charitable wing of terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, responsible for terrorist attacks in Mumbai, India in 2008, where US citizens were wounded, tortured and killed alongside scores of other innocent people from India and other countries.
We strongly oppose the settling of said individual as well as other Guantanamo-held foreign nationals anywhere in the US.
We strongly oppose the attempt of some of our Aldermen to speak on behalf of Newton's residents on the matter for which they have not been given our mandate in the 1st place.
We request that the Board of Aldermen unequivocally vote down this resolution and thus decisively finish this distressing page of Newton's history during the 01/19/2010 Board of Aldermen meeting.
Residents of Newton
The Aldermen think they can force this through without our consent but they are dead wrong. We are watching their every move and they will not get away with sneaking this onto the agenda behind our backs.

Totally ridiculous idea. Who thought this was a good plan? Keep these people out of our neighborhoods.

NOT IN MY BACKYARD. Send him somewhere else. Why is this even being considered in Newton?
