Dear members of the board.
A couple of parents from the ICSA community came together on Saturday 12th of November to discuss about our concerns on currents issues happening at the school with regards to a current incident revolving around a racist act which led to a physical response. In response a few points came up, upon which a petition was agreed on. Because this happened to one parents we felt it could have happened to anyone as well.
1. We reject racism in any form and violence. We wish to have a statement in the parent student handbook clearly stating: The school rejects racism within our community and the clear consequences of what sanctions are to be taken if this occurs . This is to say that a clear policy on racism is needed if it isn’t already the case.
2. We appreciate that the school finally admitted the racist character of what happened, but regret that it took the school this long to be transparent about the case and what really happened, which led to various forms of rumors.

An apology from the person who made that racist statement and from the school to the victim and to the entire community would be appropriate and would contribute to healing the community and allow us to come together stronger.
B.
An apology from the other parent who did the physical act to the ICSA community explaining why she reacted as such.
4. Complete transparency from the school regarding the exact measures that are being taken for both parties. This needs to be by no means private especially knowing the gravity of the issue.The community needs to know exactly how this is being handled by the school.
5. The school needs to admit that it is the racist attack that triggered the violent response; After interviewing witnesses there.
We the community of ICSA, agree to this petition by signing our first name. Although ICSA made a statement, no clear details was explained. As parents we are frightened and have lost trust in the transparency regarding serious matters as is especially knowing that is the environment that our children evolve in
We would like to have clear response within 48hrs.

I am truly overwhelmed by the way this has grown. It never occurred to me that so many people would care enough to step forward, and this momentum belongs entirely to your dedication to our community.

Racism has no place in this world.. mainly for People Who lives in Africa. We are all human being....human colors is like a rainbow...beautiful diversity
It is never really about race. If the world were to have a single race, the problem would still exist. It is always about the richest against the poorest, the most privileged against the less privileged, the ones who think they are the most beautiful against the ones who have not taken time to reveal their own beauty, the ones who have been brainwashed to feel bigger against the ones who were brainwashed to always fear and feel smaller. Why are children completely unaware of racism? Mutual respect and mutual appreciation help to celebrate the best in everybody, eveywhere in this world. Diversity, inclusion, love and respect for all of us God's sacred creatures and genuine humanity will pave the way forward. Thank you.
We can't anymore tolerate racism against africans ESPACIALLY IN OUR COUNTRIES!!!!

I was the Board President for 2 years and racism was never an issue at the ICSA. This issue needs to be thoroughly addressed and outrightly eliminated in the ICSA community. SAY NO TO RACISM AT ICSA.

Enough of racism - racists should simply go back to where they belong and be happier there. Any racist act should have a strong response so that this stops. That lady should be simply forbidden from attending the school. Any less measure should not be accepted
