The government has finally backed down and abandoned the digital ID proposal. I am honestly drained by this fight but I am relieved that we won. We still need to keep a close eye on them to make sure this stays off the table for good.
I am petitioning to stop this REDICULOUS idea of digital ID's for everyone in Canada!! This NOT only has potential to cause massive societal implications BUT elderly people can't simply just pull out their cell phone and use it. For instance my father has NO cell phone !! And even if he did he would never be able to use it. We MUST STOP this in it's tracks !!
The climb toward five hundred signatures is exhausting but we need this milestone to be taken seriously by the people ignoring us. Please post this link to your social media circles so we can hit that mark today.

A Digital ID Systems gives government way too much centralized power and authority. You may like or trust Trudeau (bad mistake if you do) but one day another government that you may not like will inherit this system of control. Stop Digital IDs NOW before it's too late.

This is asinine! It will never work. Not everyone has a smartphone, and not everyone wants one. Some can't afford one, and the elderly don't know how to use them! Don't fix what ain't broke! I've had enough of this 'do as I say, not as I do', crooked, communist government.

Stop the digital ID. This is not good for Canadians, especially the elderly and the disabled. Forcing hidden agendas is not the Canadian way. If the PM would stop spending the taxpayers money, the government wouldn't feel the need to steal from Canadians

As a son of holocaust surviver I was telling that we are lucky that Hitler and Stalin didn't have computers and digital tracking devicrs that time. Now digital technology and digital ID open dor for dictatorsip to trace and eliminate any opposition for "democratic" dictatorsip.

I do not wish to have the digital identification put in place. I feel it goes against our rights to freedom. Everything private will become accessible in regards to personal information.

The Canadian government can't handle the responsibility that I currently has. Digital ID would give them too much control over the people they are supposed to be working for.
