We oppose the proposed RPZ in Little Ilford. There has already been a consultation on the above RPZ where residents clearly stated that they do not want or find it necessary to have an RPZ in Little Ilford. We do not think RPZ is necessary in the following roads.
- Shared use bays – Reynolds Avenue E12 6JS and Millais Avenue E12 6JR these areas do not have high traffic or requirements for parking at anytime.
- Permit Holders Only Bays– Are not required as there is no problem with parking in Leighton Avenue e12 6JW, Leader Avenue e12 6JR, Reynolds Avenue E12 6JS, Millais Avenue e12 6JR, Reynolds Avenue E12 6JS, Dore Avenue E12 6JU or Gainsborough Avenue E12 6JL.
The position of these roads in Little Ilford is such that traffic does not pass through the area and so there is less traffic than in the rest of the borough. RPZ would be of no benefit to residents and would cause unnecessary inconvenience and costs.

I was walking down Leighton Avenue earlier and honestly the lack of traffic just proves my point again because why would we pay for permits when there are empty spaces right in front of our own homes. It feels like they are ignoring the previous consultation entirely but I am still emailing the council to make sure they know we are paying attention.

We do not need parking permits and parking restrictions in Gainsborough Avenue. I have been living here for 11 years and never had a problem parking. We are far from the high road so no traffic comes through to this area.
I never have a problem parking in Little Ilford. There has already been a consultation with Newham Council where residents decided that they did not need or want an RPZ. The position of Little Ilford is such that there is no through traffic and so there is not a high demand for parking space.
what a waste of time and money
I oppose Residential Permit Zone in Little Ilford including E12 6JL
Considering we pay council tax and road tax the council should focus on repairing roads not trying to drain hard working individuals for something that is not needed.
No permit please , unessessary cost to residents,no need for it.
No need for RPZ control and permits.

As mentioned previously, we do not have any parking issues on Reynolds Avenue whatsoever, we appreciate that this proposal is to 'help' us residents out, but it would be causing more of a nuisance and a bother rather than help. I’m sure it is convenient for Newham Council, but sorry, it doesn't work for us. We have an abundance of parking space on the mentioned roads and have no problem parking in front of our own houses. Therefore, introducing this “RPZ” on the mentioned roads would be bizarre as it is very obvious that the only foreseeable party that would benefit from this would seem to be Newham Council.
