there is no reason to move a prison into a highly populated and growing area that has many more schools that will be needed. I WILL move. Moving a prison anywhere that it will have that proximity to schools and housing is ridiculous! I'm not saying all relatives to those in jail at like our lives the same life as those in prison, however, there's a high likelihood that they are similar. i don't want to have to worry about my children playing outside our walking to school because there's an increase of traffic or crime because these other people are coming through to see someone in prison. we moved out here because of the lack of business and traffic for the added safety and relaxation as well as better house prices. if the prison is moved or here, i believe there will be an influx of inmate family and friends moving in which in turn, more criminals will be staying here after they are released. Also someone who has any day in this matter should not be one who is playing both sides of the field. This is a matter of safety and comfort. Eagle Mountain and Saaratoga will lose many of its residents, stability, apeal, and above all safety. Keep the prison where it is or watch a city be destroyed and contribute to that and the creation of a criminal town, low income, government depending, low moral city sprout to life!

the sites in Saratoga Springs and Eagle Mountain don't make sense. We are one of the fastest growing areas in the state of Utah. We would just be repeating the Draper situation.

I am terrified that this will completely ruin the economy in Eagle Mountain. It's still relatively new and is expanding and growing like crazy. This would stunt the growth and cause businesses to think twice about building out here. Also, the Saratoga location is so close to houses and schools! That area is booming, moving it there will just result in another move.

this is a family community with established neighborhoods and schools withing 1/2 mile from the oroposed site. Our city is the fastest growing city in the state and nation. bringing the prison to this community would be devastating for its residents, roadways, water supply, schools and more. please take this location off the sites to be considered.

It is a disgrace to our leaders, that they would even consider any viable community. There is a whole, open, West Desert that would be perfect. Since the depot has shut down and the army taken it over, I can't think of a better location!

I can't believe they are even considering putting it in Saratoga Springs where it would be so close to homes and schools!

A prison does not belong in a residential area. there are way too many kids here! not ok :( not to mention horrible for our economy in this city.

Why is this relocation even being considered? Is it the value of real estate where the prison is currently located. If so, what about the loss in real estate value to those who reside near a relocation point. It just doesn't make sense. Why is government time and money even being wasted to entertain this discussion?

1600% growth increase in the past 10 years, and a projected 5000%growth increase in the next 50 years, what is a prison going to do to this growth when placed in a primarily residential/family based community. It's going to make people leave not promote growth and development. I see the same problems draper has in the very near future.
