We don't want a prison in Saratoga Springs. I don't know if you have visited but it is unique in it's sense of community. It is a wholesome family oriented city. When my husband (who is very weak as he a cancer survivor) and I moved in, complete strangers offered to help us with our yard for free. Another time a neighbor was out shoveling snow from our parking lot, without even letting us know. She didn’t want credit she just wanted to help. I have never experienced anything like it, it would be a shame to take that away from Utah. A prison would change the whole vibe here, we are all very upset about this possibility. People here are willing to fight to keep their special place their own. Thank you.

Move it somewhere less populated! There's tons of open land in Utah!

I just bought a home in Eagle Mountain. Had I known this was a possibility, I would never had bought here...keep the prison where it is and build a new wing instead!

It doesn't make sense to build a prison that close to 4 different schools while simultaneously stunting the growth of one of the fastest growing cities in Utah. A new more appropriate site needs to be considered. Saratoga springs and eagle mountain should not have to suffer the consequences of the move just because draper developers want the current prison property to make their millions!

Utah has many areas that are not developed. Please put the prison far from developed communities

seems like some of the people involved in this prison move might actually be the real crooks...

Who came up with the horrible idea to put the prison in such close proximity to schools and homes? There is so much open land in Utah where it could be located. It makes no sense at all!

the location shouldn't be chosen for convince to its employees. If they like their job they will drive.

It is illogical to move the prison to one of the fastest growing areas of Utah. Several school are located near the proposed site, and our property values would plummet. If Rep. Wilson feels the prison is such a wonderful economic asset, build it in his backyard. I fully support moving the prison to Layton.

mivung the prison a couple miles from its current location doesn't make sense. The commission members should be replaced for even proposing this location. Besides just a couple miles from its current location its a bad for for SS/Lehi/EM. Young families with loads of kids and a growing high tech district. We'd be shooting ourselves in the economic foot with a prison in SS and be in the same relocation conversation in a few years. Dumb, just dumb idea!

only one main road Saratoga cannot provide needed infastructure to support the heavy activity the prison will have. it would destroy property value and ruin the beauty

Not a good fit. It would also increase traffic congestion because it is a 24 hour facility.
