this is a beautiful close comm unity and we don't need or want a state prisobuilt around us. make the smart move aND don't ruin good law abiding small town people's dream of safe rural living .put it to a public vote for saratoga and eagle mountian.or just think clear and take our home off your list. soncerely.

This community has a very large percentage of young families with lots of children, elementary schools and private schools. It is growing quickly. It is a beautiful community with one of the best views in the state with Utah Lake showing the reflection of the snow tipped mountains behind it. A prison would be out of place in so many ways and for so many reasons.

If the prison comes to SS it will be because of graft and no other reason. We would leave Utah were that to occur.

Why are we building a new facility in a rapidly growing, highly residential area and spending millions of tax payer dollars to do it when there is a new facility that has been built recently not that far away in Tooele that just sits empty having never been used? What a waste. Seriously what a waste.

The idea of moving the prison from one growing community to another is nonsensical. We need to think longer term. Saratoga Springs and Eagle Mountain are rapidly growing and when the Mountain View Corridor is extended further south, the potential prison site will again be in prime commercial land.

Moving the prison right next to a city with no regard to its master plan is not responsible. Either leave it where it is or move it where it is congruent with the area.

Most of the buildings at the prison are 20-30 years old. The original building can be rebuilt on the farm land. There is no reason to move it to a thriving community where it will have to be moved again. Just fix the problem - don't create more.
