Ridiculous reasons - if "1000 new jobs" is supposed to be the biggest benefit, why only move it a few miles? How about moving it to an area that really needs new jobs, as clearly, they are more concerned with those who already have jobs at the prison keeping them. NO PRISON IN SARATOGA SPRINGS!

There are many areas in Utah not near residential communities. Please build the prison away from our homes and not in saratoga Springs

Please do not put a prison in Saratoga Springs, UT! It is too close to law abiding citizens and safe communities.

Absolutely NOT! Why are we putting this by one of the fastest growing cities in Utah? Get that out of fast developing areas! There is one of the best high-tech growth areas near Saratoga in Lehi, etc bringing in literally close to $1Billion in investment into the area THERE'S NO need for the any finanical benefit the prison would bring when it's marginal compared to the future prospects and trends we are seeing in the area from high-tech job growth. This prison is nothing compared to the future jobs that will be brought in from that alone. This prison is nonsense in Saratoga. It is absolutely mind boggling we are thinking about putting this into fast developing areas. It does not fit the community and it needs to be placed far away from fast growth areas like Saratoga. This is insanity. Get that thing out of here!

we currently live in Saratoga Springs. We are looking into building a large home on Lake Utah. I will not be building in Saratoga Springs if the prison move is approved. This city is building new homes in the 400,000 range. If this prison moves to Saratoga Springs it will be bad for businesses and bad for building. This will drive down home values and cause families to worry about safety. What a terrible choice in location. The city with potential to draw upper bracket homes and rake in tax dollars. I knew Utah politicians were different but, I didn't know that they were stupid.

Only government would try to place a prison in one of the fastest growing cities in Utah. A prison would slow the growth and kill property values for current residents. We moved here to get away from such things as prisons. With all the desolate areas around Salt Lake, it does not make sense to place it in one of the fastest growing cities. We must not let Draper and the East Side of the Valley push this off on us.

Our family moved here to live in a wholsome, family-oriented community, not a prison town. I cannot drive past the correctional facility fast enough when I'm commuting, because the correctional facility is a grim place. I do not want it in my backyard. The entire feeling of our city will change and decrease in value. In a desert, why would you not prize property within view of a beautiful lake? It should be protected and developed carefully. No prison in Saratoga Springs.

Saratoga is too nice a place for a prison, not to mention nice views and very expensive to re-tool for prison in the chosen site.

I do NOT want a prison near my young nieces! In a desert sounds ideal, not around young families!
