Neighbors of West Cobb,

We are concerned about the over development of West Cobb and the effects of this development on our traffic, schools, and environment.

Please sign this petition, share on social media and forward to area neighbors so we can let District 1 Commissioner, Bob Weatherford, know that the residents in this area do not want this development in our area.

This property is on Corner Road in-between the two entrances of Echo Mill.

We are not opposed to the development of this property. We are asking that it be developed within the current zoning.

Note: Each individual voter should sign separately, not as a household!


  • This development will add to the existing traffic problems not just on Corner Road, but to the surrounding area.
  • We also need to consider other large land plots on the market in the surrounding areas, including: Corner Rd, Lost Mountain Rd, Florence Rd, Macland, etc....
  • We do not yet know the impact of Kyle Farm and the development / proposed rezoning Z75 will have on the traffic problem.

Schools cannot support this development.

  • Last years enrollment numbers show:
  • –Hillgrove is 492 over capacity
  • –Lost Mountain is 18 over capacity
  • –Kemp is 22 under capacity

The homes are not consistent with the surrounding area. (4000+ sq. ft. $620-780,000+)

  • In the neighboring community of Echo Hill zoned R20 homes range from 2700-3000 sq. ft. above ground with most having an unfinished basement of 1000-1500 sq. ft. and sell for an average of $323,447.
  • $87,430 – average household income for 30127
  • $2,864 – monthly payment on a $620,000 home w/20% down vs. $1,555 on a $330,000 home
  • How will an appraiser justify a price point of $620k and up when there is nothing even close in the immediate area to compare to.
