DO NOT TURN THAT OLD POST OFFICE TO A METH CLINIC. I grew up in monument and allowing this to happen is going to bring unwanted trouble. Don't let the greed of the towns officials ruin what's left of one the last good spots in Colorado

I am a drug/alcohol peer specialist and triage counselor for depressives with any of multiple addictions. They need the help, but not amidst dozens living within a city block of presently stable family homes . We need to know who is pushing this. Get smart on our rights to advocate the destruction of this proposal .

Not sure why they'd put a drug clinic across from a family park, when the town voted down the sale of both medical and recreational marijuana. What's the difference?

Right across from a park. No way!

Not in Monument! Our small, quiet community will never be the same if this happens.

Should not be in an area of the park and schools close by. We need to keep our kids safe. Find another place !

I don't live there but I wouldn't want it around my house. We already have enough trouble with individuals doing drugs around and it would be much worse if it was a methadone clinic

The elementary school children from St Pete's walk to that park to play. I can't believe such a clinic received zoning approval! Once again the parents must take a stand, because people who are in positions of authority and trust to protect the best interests of our children and our community are, for whatever reason, allowing this to happen.

There are plenty other centers, we don't need one in Monument so close to the park where families and children play.

Absolutely not what we want in historic downtown Monument.

Absolutely NOT in favor of a methadone clinic in Monument. As a former nurse, I have dealt with such clients. Beyond the methadone they "need" was all the drug seeking behaviors. If they can't get them through doctor offices & clinics, they will look to the streets. There is always an entrepreneur looking for market niche.

I'm against this. Take it somewhere where it belongs.

Signing this petition ensures that the historic Monument area will stay clear of transients. The focus on monetary gain for the town of Monument should not be given to addicts (whom tend to not have money), but instead back into the community. How about walk ability with shopping and necessities that this growing town is in need of? Jackson Creek Pkwy is a great location away from the historic town and yet steps away from the growing neighborhoods that Monument has created. It's just a thought.

I'm against having the treatment location across the street from the park. Another location would be more desirable.

In a community like this, with a children's play park spitting distance across the road, this seems a foolish and ill conceived notion. I support appropriate treatment for those needing care, but not at the expense of the citizens and children living, working and playing nearby.

No we do not want this here in our town. If our residents need methadone they can make the trip to Colorado Springs. The bus goes there many times a day. We need to preserve our small town and a clinic such as this does not preserve it brings ruin. Please do not bring this here!!
