I feel it should not be aloud and it will probably hurt the community.

They should not allow the clinic to go in. I moved here 5 yrs ago and the first thing I researched before moving waa the school district, crime rate what type of community. If I saw that I would not have moved to this wonderful town.

Know they need these clinics. Just needs a different location. Not Monument.

not a good addition to a small town struggling to establish itself in the arts.

It was an administration approval only because the building is zoned for medical facilities.

Did this really get approved by City?

We are against this facility moving in to the center of our downtown area.

Good idea but not so close to residents

Nothing good about this whole thing. Needs to be farther away from people especially children at the park.

I understand the need for a methadone clinic. but in no way and for no reason would I ever believe that someone would think putting a methadone clinic next to a children's park in a family neighborhood would be a good idea. you will end up with junkies sharing their medications and selling their medications at the park across the street! not at all what any neighborhood needs!

Who would have known that there were so many heroin addicts in Monument that we now needed a methadone clinic in beautiful downtown Monument to help them. If I would have known that heroin was so abundent in Monument, I would have never moved my family here. All joking aside, why open a clinic here that will only draw addicts from Colorado Springs with their needles and drugs. Especially right across the street from a family filled park. How many needles and other drug paraphernalia will children find while playing in the park? How many residents who go to the park for the concerts will sit on used needles? The whole idea of having a methadone clinic anywhere in Monument is absolutely idiotic. The same city council who wouldn't let a medical marijuana dispensary in (which I personally think was not in the interest of it's citizens) is now going to allow a methadone clinic? Sounds like big bucks being passed under tables. Kaching!!!!!

Who's responsible for this terrible idea??? There is no benefit to Monument residents, only exposure to potential problems associated with this proposal. There's nothing like having a rehab or drug treatment facility right in the middle of downtown to keep tourists away in droves not to mention driving down property values and ruining a 'family-friendly' reputation.

Horrible idea,Monument doesn't need this downtown which will affect business traffic.

Across from a park? Is this a joke? Whose genius idea was this? Please suggest to them that moving to Boulder could make their business more lucrative. Our community is under enough assaults from bad influences. Why subject us to more?

Please don't do this, we moved to Monument to get away from stuff like this, 7 years ago, and have sadly watched as the town is drifting downhill.

next to a medical center / hospital makes much more sense than in a residential / park area. I'm not totally opposed to the clinic -- just to the location.

In the middle of a small community and right across from a small park where children play is not an appropriate place for this facility.
