This is not the type of business that belongs in downtown Monument, especially across the street from a popular park where many families go to play. What in the world are our town officials thinking???

I grew up in Monument, and still frequently visit my parents there. It always was a quiet, peaceful town, which I enjoyed coming home to. I would hate to come "home" to a town where my favorite restaurant is right across the street from a shining beacon for addicts and degenerates. I'm all for helping addicts recover, but this type of place should be AWAY from community hubs and places frequented by families and children.

Monument is such a wonderful family oriented community. There are family homes, a beautiful park and local businesses that surround this building. It is a horrible and frightening idea to have it in the heart of Monument next to a park where children play.

Of all places, why here? If they do this my kids will not be playing at that park anymore:( what about when the 4th of July Parade comes to town, right there as well? How do you explain that to your kids along with all the festivals held at the park? Thanks for thinking of the community first! Very disappointed:(

As a native of this town, I agree with friends and family. Find somewhere else to host this rehab. Jaime - you rock! So proud of you for doing this!!

There is no justification to place a methodone clinic here other than the town trying to line their pockets. I have lived in Monument for years. To make it even worse placing something like this that brings in dangerous people to a place where my kids play, not if I can help it.
